At the Lighthouse Church, we have many different ministries so that we can serve our people better and more specifically. Here are some of the ministries that we offer:
Youth and Children’s Ministry
We have children’s classes and youth ministry for ages 3 to 18. They are separated into age groups for more effective ministry. We believe that kids are the next generation of our church and that they are very important in the Kingdom of God. We teach them the Word of God, just like we teach the adults!
Music Ministry
The vision of the music ministry is to create an atmosphere that invites others into God’s presence so all may know Him and lift up the name of Jesus. The primary reason for music is to minister to the Lord in praise and worship. Our desire is that people are able to walk into our sanctuary and experience the presence, power, and glory of God and to be able to receive what it is they are in need of. Our Momentum Worship team encourages and leads the church in worship 3 services per week.
Performing Arts Ministry
The purpose of the Performing Arts Ministry is to minister the Word of God through the performing/creative arts, sharing the gospel in dramatic presentation, theater, and music. We do some random skits and dramas throughout the year, in addition to Christmas and Easter productions.
Prayer Ministries
We have many different prayer ministries within the church. We have Partners In Prayer, which are people who daily pray for the Pastor and leaders of the church. We have the Prayer Chain, which is on call at all hours for urgent prayer needs. We also have Intercessory Prayer, which prays for the vision of the church, our services, our community, upcoming events and speakers, and much more.
Impact Ministry
Anytime people are new to something, it takes kind-hearted people and somebody showing them love to make them feel welcome and comfortable. The job of the impact ministry is to reach out to new people who attend our church. The people in this ministry introduce themselves to new people and begin to build a relationship with them that continues outside of the church walls.
In-Touch
The mission of the In-Touch ministry is to reach the visitors of the church and make them feel comfortable from the time they arrive until they leave the service. We want you to feel welcome and like a part of our church family.
The Kitchen Crew
The purpose of the Kitchen Crew Ministry is to be a blessing to others. The Kitchen Crew provides services for prayer breakfasts, seminar luncheons, dinners for the church congregation, and many other activities throughout the year.
Usher’s Ministry
We believe that making the right first impression on a visitor is crucial to that visitor returning to our church. Our ushers and greeters ministries strive to be a blessing to everyone that walks in the doors of the church.
Mountain Movers
The Mountain Movers (previously Care Team) provide church for the homebound on a weekly basis. Our teams are made up of dedicated individuals who take church to those who are unable to participate in weekly service. The teams also make hospital visits when needed.
Building Helps
The purpose of the Building Helps ministry is to help fulfill the vision of the church by keeping the church grounds and buildings looking good and operating well.
Doers Ministry
The Doers Ministry exists to fulfill the vision of the church by mobilizing the body of Christ to use their physical talents and skills to minister to a lost and hurting world.
Acts Food Ministry
Acts Food Ministry exists to help bring relief to our church family and their families in difficult times.
Last Days Men
We have a ministry for men to encourage fellowship with each other and growth in the body of Christ. It’s time for men to be the men that God wants for them to be in these last days. This ministry exists to simply create an atmosphere for men to get together and build relationships and strengthen each other. Activities are planned each month or so, such as, pancake breakfasts, baseball game outings, wing and game nights, and trips to Cabela’s and/or Bass Pro Shops. All men are invited to come and be a part of our men’s ministry.
Women’s Ministry
Our women’s ministry exists for the purpose of women to encourage other women. The women’s ministry has many activities throughout the year, such as snow tubing, game nights, pajama parties, and the secret sister program. Any and all women are encouraged to come and be a part of our women’s ministry.
Creative Media Team
The Creative Media department is one of our newest ministries. It consists of a team of individuals dedicated to creating visually vibrant and attractive media (paper forms, prints, postcards, on-screen images, bulletins, brochures, logos, and video productions) for all areas of the church. Started in the summer of 2009, the Creative Team has worked hard and will continue working hard to produce excellent graphics and media to support the vision and message God has give the Lighthouse Church.
